After several months of sporadic rehearsals we finally performed our first concert with the marvellous percussion students at Guildhall. We played several Ghanaian pieces including an enormous version of 'Kumpo', a massed hum of Peter Garland's classic 'Apple Blossom' and a large scale version of Max Roach's 'Rumble in the Jungle' from his percussion project M'Boom. It felt like we were onstage with all of the percussion instruments in the world!
